C\u2019en est toute une autre de devenir un grand artiste. St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault, l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve favori de Yuli Turovsky, fut incontestablement d\u00e8s son plus jeune \u00e2ge un tel talent prometteur. Mais il y a quatre ans, environ, quelque chose plafonnait. Comment St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault, avec son Stradivarius de haute vol\u00e9e, allait-il pouvoir franchir ce cap suppl\u00e9mentaire et \u00e9clore ?<\/p>\n<p>Ce qui manquait \u00e9tait clair et nous l\u2019avions alors \u00e9crit : il lui fallait sortir du Qu\u00e9bec, diversifier les contacts, se frotter \u00e0 d\u2019autres \u00e9coles et humer les senteurs du vaste monde. La chose est enfin arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 la Fondation Louis Vuitton aupr\u00e8s de Gautier Capu\u00e7on. Je ne pense pas que St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault pouvait faire meilleure rencontre.<\/p>\n<p>Ce Chostakovitch \u00e9tait tellement juste, d\u00e8s le 1<sup>er<\/sup> mouvement, avec des notes tenues id\u00e9alement longues et jamais sautillantes, un appui parfait, mais aussi saisissant dans l\u2019approche du d\u00e9but du 2<sup>e<\/sup> mouvement sans vibrato.
