La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 arts et culture de Saint-Placide a cl\u00f4tur\u00e9, le samedi 8\u00a0d\u00e9cembre dernier, l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2012 tout en beaut\u00e9 avec un concert de violoncelle avec celui qui est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un jeune prodige, St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault, accompagn\u00e9 par Zhengy\u00a0Chen au piano.<\/h3>\n

\u00c0 cette occasion, l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Placide, am\u00e9nag\u00e9e tout sp\u00e9cialement, \u00e9tait remplie de personnes venues entendre de la musique classique interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par le jeune musicien de 19\u00a0ans. Celui-ci, plusieurs fois prim\u00e9, \u00e9tudie le violoncelle depuis 10\u00a0ans et ma\u00eetrise son instrument avec une maturit\u00e9 et une facilit\u00e9 d\u00e9concertante.<\/p>\n

Il s\u2019est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sur la sc\u00e8ne avec son violoncelle Stradivarius portant le nom de \u00abComtesse de Stainlein, Ex-Paganini\u00bb datant de 1707. Pr\u00eat\u00e9 par une m\u00e9c\u00e8ne montr\u00e9alaise, l\u2019instrument serait \u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 six\u00a0millions de dollars.<\/p>\n

\u00abJe suis content d\u2019\u00eatre l\u00e0 dans cette charmante \u00e9glise\u00bb,<\/em> s\u2019est exprim\u00e9 le jeune musicien avant d\u2019apporter quelques modifications au programme propos\u00e9. Ce soir-l\u00e0, les morceaux qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e9taient le Pr\u00e9lude<\/em> de Bach, pour se poursuivre avec du Joseph Haydn. La Sonate en mi\u00a0mineur, opus\u00a038<\/em>, de Johannes Brahms, est venue conclure la premi\u00e8re\u00a0partie.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s la pause, St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault a offert Sonate en la\u00a0mineur D.821 pour aperggione et piano<\/em>, de Franz Peter Schubert, suivie de Pezzo Capriccioso<\/em> de Piotr Llitch Tcha\u00efkovski.<\/p>\n

Le musicien a d\u00e9montr\u00e9, d\u00e8s ses premi\u00e8res notes, une communion entre lui et son instrument comme si ce dernier \u00e9tait une prolongation de lui-m\u00eame. Tr\u00e8s expressif de son visage et de son corps, son interpr\u00e9tation musicale \u00e9tait impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e d\u2019intensit\u00e9 et de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 qui le faisait bouger au rythme de ses notes.<\/p>\n

L\u2019artiste, tr\u00e8s concentr\u00e9 \u00e0 sentir la musique et \u00e0 la faire passer \u00e0 travers ses mains et son instrument, \u00e9tait \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9coute du pianiste Zhengy\u00a0Chen afin d\u2019offrir aux spectateurs une exp\u00e9rience musicale en totale harmonie. La musique classique coulait autant dans la respiration audible du jeune homme que dans les phrases musicales qu\u2019il arrivait \u00e0 faire jouer \u00e0 son instrument, que dans la justesse du pianiste. Ce dernier, lui, ajustait constamment son interpr\u00e9tation pour mettre en valeur et soutenir le violoncelle. Un duo qui s\u2019est montr\u00e9 riche en sonorit\u00e9s et qui arrivait \u00e0 faire sentir toute la puissance de certains des passages choisis.<\/p>\n

Amateur ou non du genre, le talent et les subtilit\u00e9s d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation de St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault \u00e9taient ind\u00e9niables. Il a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e9galement une belle maturit\u00e9 et une v\u00e9ritable passion, autant lorsqu\u2019il a jou\u00e9 de son instrument o\u00f9 ses mains s\u2019ex\u00e9cutaient avec agilit\u00e9 et l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9, que lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019est adress\u00e9 au public pour donner quelques d\u00e9tails sur les morceaux qu\u2019il allait interpr\u00e9ter.<\/p>\n

Une soir\u00e9e magnifique o\u00f9 l\u2019acoustique de l\u2019\u00e9glise a su rendre la beaut\u00e9 \u00e0 la musique choisie et jou\u00e9e par St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault qui, d\u2019ailleurs, n\u2019avait aucune partition devant lui. Le public lui a offert quatre\u00a0ovations debout, le violoncelliste l\u2019a remerci\u00e9 avec deux\u00a0rappels, o\u00f9 la musique de Saint-Sa\u00ebns et de Bach a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019honneur.<\/p>\n
