Ce n\u2019est pas tous les jours que l\u2019on fait ses d\u00e9buts avec un orchestre aussi prestigieux que le Philadelphia Orchestra. \u00c0 23\u00a0ans, c\u2019est un r\u00eave de longue date que r\u00e9alisait St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault, le week-end dernier, en jouant avec cet orchestre qu\u2019il admire depuis longtemps, sous la direction de Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin. Enchant\u00e9 de son exp\u00e9rience, le violoncelliste a accord\u00e9 un court entretien t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique \u00e0 La Presse<\/span><\/em> dans les heures suivant sa seconde prestation, samedi soir.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab J\u2019avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 entendu l\u2019orchestre en concert, ici \u00e0 Philadelphie, et aussi \u00e0 Carnegie Hall, et chaque fois, j\u2019\u00e9tais \u00e9merveill\u00e9, dit-il. Il n\u2019y a pas de mots pour d\u00e9crire ce que \u00e7a repr\u00e9sente pour moi de jouer avec eux, et avec Yannick en plus. C\u2019est un \u00e9norme bonheur. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Les deux concerts, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s vendredi et samedi soir au Verizon Hall, se sont tr\u00e8s bien d\u00e9roul\u00e9s pour le jeune musicien qui interpr\u00e9tait le Concerto no 1 pour violoncelle<\/em> de Camille Saint-Sa\u00ebns.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Je dirais que les deux soir\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 bien diff\u00e9rentes, mais toutes deux un succ\u00e8s, dit-il. Je pense que le public a beaucoup aim\u00e9 \u00e7a, et j\u2019ai eu des bons commentaires. Vendredi soir, c\u2019\u00e9tait mes vrais d\u00e9buts \u00e0 Philadelphie, et presque mes d\u00e9buts aux \u00c9tats-Unis, \u00e0 part quelques petits concerts. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Je ne peux pas dire que j\u2019\u00e9tais tr\u00e8s nerveux. Dix minutes avant le concert, je me suis senti tellement zen que j\u2019en \u00e9tais \u00e9tonn\u00e9. Et ce soir, je me sentais encore plus libre. \u2014\u00a0St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ce choix du Concerto<\/em> de Saint-Sa\u00ebns, fait d\u2019un commun accord avec Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin, compl\u00e9tait bien le programme d\u2019une soir\u00e9e consacr\u00e9e aux compositeurs fran\u00e7ais, avec la Fantastique<\/em> de Berlioz et l\u2019Ouverture Le Corsaire<\/em>, du m\u00eame compositeur.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019est un concerto que nous n\u2019avions jamais jou\u00e9 ensemble et j\u2019avais h\u00e2te de le red\u00e9couvrir avec lui. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Le violoncelliste qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois esp\u00e8re que cette occasion fabuleuse lui ouvrira de nouvelles portes \u00e0 l\u2019international.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Il y avait \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de gens, et j\u2019ai rencontr\u00e9 beaucoup de personnalit\u00e9s du monde musical \u00bb, dit-il.<\/p>\n

CLASSE D\u2019EXCELLENCE \u00c0 PARIS<\/strong>
\nAu cours de la derni\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, St\u00e9phane T\u00e9treault s\u2019est promen\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, suivant des le\u00e7ons avec des violoncellistes de renom. Il a notamment particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des cours de ma\u00eetre avec Gauthier Capu\u00e7on dans la Classe d\u2019excellence de violoncelle de la Fondation Louis Vuitton, \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n

\u00ab J\u2019ai beaucoup aim\u00e9 travailler avec lui, dit-il. On avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 travaill\u00e9 ensemble avant et je savais qu\u2019on s\u2019entendait bien. Quand j\u2019ai vu que sa classe d\u2019excellence offrait une deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition, je l\u2019ai contact\u00e9 et j\u2019\u00e9tais ravi d\u2019\u00eatre accept\u00e9 dans sa classe. Il travaille beaucoup sur le son et la structure des id\u00e9es musicales, pour qu\u2019elles soient logiques. M\u00eame si une id\u00e9e ne vient pas de lui, il est tr\u00e8s ouvert, en autant qu\u2019il y ait une coh\u00e9rence. \u00bb<\/p>\n
