Effectivement, je vais avoir 30 ans en avril. C\u2019est une belle fa\u00e7on de les f\u00eater ! La collaboration est belle avec mon label. ATMA m\u2019offre la possibilit\u00e9 rare de pouvoir mettre en avant des projets tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents, avec des langages musicaux nouveaux, car ce sont des gens tr\u00e8s ouverts, avec une vraie richesse musicale. C\u2019est tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant de travailler avec eux. \u00c7a fait toute la diff\u00e9rence d\u2019avoir un label qui a confiance en ses artistes, qui commence par dire \u00ab oui \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Et puis je suis tr\u00e8s heureux de voir le travail fait par ATMA, notamment cette envie d\u2019ouvrir la cr\u00e9ation et le monde musical canadien sur l\u2019Europe. En tant que jeune artiste, \u00e7a donne beaucoup de belles perspectives. J\u2019ai eu la chance de travailler en Europe avant la pand\u00e9mie, et j\u2019aimerai beaucoup y retourner !<\/p>\n

Ce disque est une continuation de deux \u0153uvres monumentales : celles de Jean-S\u00e9bastien Bach et d\u2019Astor Piazzolla. Ce sont des noms qui vous parlent, en tant que violoncelliste ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beaucoup oui ! Il ya \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d\u2019influences de Bach et du Tango dans ce disque, notamment autour des pi\u00e8ces pour violoncelle seul qui ont beaucoup inspir\u00e9 Denis Plante. Et puis avant la cr\u00e9ation, on travaillait d\u00e9j\u00e0 sur des arrangements de Carlos Gardel et Piazzolla faits par Denis. Ce disque couronne tout le travail accompli autour de ce r\u00e9pertoire fascinant, et \u00f4 combien profond.<\/p>\n

J\u2019\u00e9tais assez \u00e9tonn\u00e9 moi-m\u00eame, au d\u00e9but de notre collaboration, de voir \u00e0 quel point les deux sonorit\u00e9s fonctionnent ensemble, bien que l\u2019on ait peu l\u2019habitude de les associer.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=\u00a0\u00bbhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/6TGf1LihXS0″ align=\u00a0\u00bbcenter\u00a0\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Denis Plante, le compositeur de ces pi\u00e8ces et votre partenaire dans ce disque, dit de vous que insufflez \u00ab une g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 d\u00e9bordante et le pathos n\u00e9cessaire pour accorder \u00e0 ses Suites une profondeur bouleversante \u00bb. Cette description de votre jeu vous convient ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

C\u2019est tr\u00e8s gentil de la part de Denis. C\u2019est un musicien tr\u00e8s g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, et ses mots me touchent beaucoup. Je ne sais pas si \u00e7a me d\u00e9crit bien, mais ce que je peux dire, c\u2019est que pour moi, le tango occupe une place tr\u00e8s particuli\u00e8re. \u00c7a me parle. La danse bien s\u00fbr, mais surtout la m\u00e9lancolie et la tristesse profondes qui s\u2019en d\u00e9gagent, autant d\u2019\u00e9motion que j\u2019ai plaisir \u00e0 sentir me traverser quand je joue. Cette profondeur et cette gravit\u00e9 m\u2019inspirent. J\u2019esp\u00e8re que je peux la transmettre aux autres, car c\u2019est aussi \u00e7a la beaut\u00e9 de la musique.<\/p>\n
