Soloist-in-residence: Stéphane Tétreault
Stéphane Tétreault has been named the very first soloist-in-residence of the Orchestre Métropolitain for their 2014-2015 season!
Éric Champagne has now completed his two years as Composer-in-Residence with the Orchestre Métropolitain. Now, for the first time in our history, we welcome a Soloist-in-Residence: the young and talented cellist Stéphane Tétreault. Tétreault performed with the Orchestre Métropolitain’s Principal Guest Conductor Julian Kuerti in April 2012 and with Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the Domaine Forget International Festival during the summer of that same year. We are thrilled to welcome him again in 2014-2015 under these new auspices. Two performances with Stéphane Tétreault are scheduled this season, and the first occurs at the Maison symphonique de Montréal, inaugurating this fresh collaboration between Artistic Director/ Principal Conductor and Soloist-in-Residence.
